The minimum age to use the Uber and Lyft apps is 18 years old. Riders who are under 18 years old must be accompanied by riders who are 18 years old or older. Both companies allow their drivers to ask for proof of age if they suspect a rider does not meet the minimum age requirement. Drivers are also able to cancel rides if riders do not provide proof of age.
