Drivers are able to deny rides but failure to take passengers to their requested stops can lead to lower ratings and deactivation from the apps with repeated incidents. Uber Driver-partners and riders are able to change destinations during trips by using the app. Changes cannot be made to destinations when driver-partners are carrying uberPOOL riders. Lyft Drivers are unable to change destinations as Lyft gives passengers the power to adjust their stops. Drivers and passengers are unable to change destinations when using the Shared ride option.
